I'm working on a couple commissions right now. Well, actually I finished them both, I'm just waiting for my client to tell me whether they like it or not. ;w;

muahaha XD actually the picture got a bit messed up because the inking pen i used isnt the best so it smeared when i started to add colour :c I have my favorite red marker i like to use. although the brush tip is getting worn out, I need to buy a new replacement.

The way of the digital arts is simple;

a) Read many tutorials

b) keep on reading tutorials

c) mess around in PS for the rest of your life because no one (at least me haha) knows what they're doing.

Have you heard of Fire Alpaca? It's simple but at least it has a line smoother, I think suggested it. c:

Yea I never like anything I draw in PS. Last sorta big piece I did was back in april and meh looking back.. i want to edit it more. n I will never be satisfied. I do know of Fire Alpaca! Unfortunately it does crash a lot on me so I stopped using it ^^;

btw your HA... Q /drool i definitely want to draw it. I've on the 'draw plants everywhere' spree...especially on the face/head. I created a new notebook design and he is a gardener ;w; his hair are flower petal-y i'll show you the finished piece later. i am meeting up with some friends for our weekly draw day and i will be working on getting him painted 8D

brb crying because that is absolutely perfect, my compliments to Talos because they did a great job. (But also compliments to you for always having the best HA's one can draw.)

I want to, but I'm not sure how to set one up! I've gone through the art forums to see how people price their work, but I see so much variance regarding quality and price that I just dont know where to put it!

I tried using the art pricing forum here, but I never got replies (and I see very few people do) so I won't recommend that, haha.

Some of the artists on here recommend asking for payment that's equivalent to the amount of time you spent on a piece. As in, if the minimum wage is $x in your state, you'd ask for that times the time you spent on your piece. (It's late where I am so I might not be making myself clear, haha)

Personally I'd pay like 10mil for art like yours, but don't listen to me, I under-price everything. XD

I've had people offer $5/500CSC for square avatars! I had been under the impression such simplistic images would be worth hardly more than a dollar, but for example. who was my most recent, told me that was too low in her opinion and gave me a full 500csc. I see people doing full portraits of peoples pets/characters for less than that. o.o Is it my quality art maybe? I didn't think I was really THAT good, mediocre at best compared to some of the brilliance I see here. Minimum wage here is about $8 unless it changed recently. For the jabberwocky, it was a 2 1/2 hour long image. I charged only 800csc

I think quality is definitely as aspect here. Your art fits in quite well with subeta art, (your lines are smooth and amazing and I'm jealous) so I can see why people would be willing to pay more!

Under ideal circumstances I'd say you should have charged 2.5x more, haha. But 800csc seems like a good start, you could easily work your way up from there. c:

I looked through your dA again and tbh I can easily see you charging $10 in sp or csc for just uncolored line art of either busts or full bodies. c:
